Permanent makeup (also called PMU or Cosmetic Tattooing) is the process of implanting pigment into the upper layers of the skin to enhance features like brows, eyeliner, and lips. It mimics the look of makeup and saves time in your daily routine.

Results typically last 1-3 years, depending on skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Oily skin and frequent exfoliation may fade pigment faster. Touch-ups are recommended or as needed.

Most clients feel mild discomfort, similar to light scratching. A topical numbing cream is applied to keep you comfortable throughout the procedure.

Most PMU appointments take 2-3 hours; this includes consultation, mapping, numbing, and the actual tattooing.

Common PMU services include:

• Powder/Ombre Brows
• Microblading or Combo Brows
• Lip Blush
• Permanent Eyeliner

Healing takes approximately 7-10 days. You may experience:

• Mild redness
• Darkness/intensity of color for the first 4 days
• Flaking or peeling on or around day 5

Pigment softens and settles in the weeks following. Full healing takes 4-6 weeks.

Please make note of the following instructions prior to procedure:

• No blood thinners unless approved by your doctor
• Avoid retinol or exfoliants near the area for 1 week
• Come with clean skin and no makeup on the treatment area

PMU is not recommended for those who are:

• Pregnant or breastfeeding
• Those with active skin infections
• Those with uncontrolled diabetes
• Anyone on Accutane (within the last 12 months)
• Clients with certain medical conditions - please consult before booking
• Previous work if it's too dark or saturated

Yes. A 4-8 week touch-up is recommended to perfect the shape and color once the initial pigment settles.

Microblading: creates hair-like strokes; best for normal-dry skin.

Powder Brows: soft, shaded makeup look; suitable for all skin types, especially oily.

Combo Brows: a blend of both techniques.

Yes, the initial color will appear darker and bolder, then softens by 30-50% once fully healed.

It is advised to avoid makeup on or around the treated area for 7 days to prevent infection and pigment disruption.

A consultation is required to determine if previous PMU can be covered, corrected, or removed. Please email pictures of previous work to kimdokaplan@gmail.com for further discussion.

Please follow these instructions:

• Keep the area clean and moist with the provided aftercare ointment.
• Avoid sweating, swimming, tanning, saunas, and makeup directly on the procedure area(s).
• Apply aftercare ointment as directed
• Do you pick at flakes
